hola familia!
como estan? so this week was one of the hardest weeks
i've had. we had cambios last monday, so i was left alone in ita
enramanda. my new comp is super sweet and she's awesome :) we are
working super hard because we are basically starting from scratch. we
had some tough days because i obviously didn't know that i still don't
know tons about missionary work ;) and especially spanish! its been an
extremely humbling week. i've probably never needed as much help in the
mission from my heavenly father than i've needed this week. but we've
also seen miracles in one week!! :) the work is picking up again! :) we
are teaching another little girl in yukyty, but the problem is that her
parents don't want her baptized even though both her sisters, mom, and
grandma are all members. so that is an obstacle... but yesterday we got
her little cousin to sneak behind her grandmas back and show us where
they were going to be moving... haha ;) so we stalked them, found
michelle's mom and asked if we could help them move. so we built a house
in yukyty and totally won the trust of her parents and were hoping to
get permission this week and have her baptism the 17 :) yesterday we
also found norma and her family. it was a miracle that we found them as
well! it's norma, her 2 daughters, and mom. they all accepted fecha and
now we are just going to teach them and do all we can to help them be
baptized by the 31. we are super, super excited!!! :) we have zone
conference this friday and i have to sing in a quartet..... :) that's
gonna be interesting... ;) ohhh and there is this lady carmen, so she
believes the sabbath is on saturday and me and hermana argueta found her
and she was excited, but rejected baptism and didn't want to talk to us
or anything. so last saturday we were walking home, and i thought that
we should go visit her, so we did and she accepted us!! a lot of sad
stuff is happening in her life, but she invited us back. so this
saturday, two days ago, hermana austin and i went and visited her, and
her heart has changed and she accepted baptism and now we just have to
work with her job that's on sundays. we're praying for a miracle there
too....we are just working, working, working!! we are also being EXACTLY
obedient... that's something that's very hard to do.. it feels
ridiculous at times, but we are seeing miracles and for that I will do
what I am asked to do and be happy :) i love the work and serving the
people! i miss and love you all so much!! Always keep the faith!! :)
always love,
hermana McDougal
